Melanie Lewis-Yribar
Melanie was born and raised in Buffalo, Ny and moved to Los Angeles at the ripe age of 16 to pursue her dream of becoming a professional, commercial dancer. Throughout her career she has both performed with and personally coached Cher, Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Julianne Hough, Joey McIntyre, Katharine McPhee and Britney Spears to name a few. She has movement coached Jennifer Aniston, Ben Stiller, Kristen Bell and Tom Cruise helping them to feel more comfortable and confident dancing on camera. She has also had the honor of being Ms. Aniston’s body double twice in feature films. Pre pandemic Melanie was performing in and resident choreographer for Cher’s sold out Here We Go Again world tour 2018-2020 and was also an associate choreographer on her feature film Burlesque alongside Denise Faye, Joey Pizzi, Jaquel Knight, Tara Nicole Hughes and Aisha Francis, quite the dream team. Melanie was the original principle choreographer for Step One Dance Co, the dance company created in 2018 for Holland America cruise line working often with RWS Entertainment Group. She worked on 3 seasons of the NBC tv show the Sing Off choreographing and movement coaching the contestants. The tv show that brought us the grammy award winning a cappella group Pentatonix. In 2017 Melanie was creative director for Sabrina Carpenter’s summer DeTour as well as Sabrina’s movement coach on many of her music videos. Most recently she has been choreographing for Celebrity cruise line and teaches master classes regularly.
Melanie has shared the stage with icons such as Stevie Wonder, Prince, Jay Z, Backstreet Boys, and Destiny’s Child as well as appearing with Catharine Zeta Jones on the esteemed Academy Awards performing “All That Jazz.” Having appeared on countless tv and award shows worldwide as well as acting in an ABC Family Christmas movie starring Tia Mowry and Tori Spelling, “The Mistletones” you can add actor to her resume as well. Film, television, national commercials, music videos, world tours, creative director, choreographer, actor, dancer, she truly has done it all. Adding educator and mentor to this list is what truly brings her joy.
