Michael Pereira returns to the United States after 7 years in Paris, France. While in Paris, he taught ballet, theatre dance, tap, and voice at Paris’ largest and most well-known studio, Studio Harmonic. He also founded and directed France’s first American musical theatre academy, The Broadway in Paris(TM) Academy. Most notably, he produced, directed, and choreographed the musical PIPPIN (in French) with its composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz.

Before moving to Paris, he was an adjunct professor in the musical theatre department of Marymount Manhattan College where he taught ballet, jazz, and tap. He taught master classes in jazz, ballet, and theater dance all over the United States and Europe.

As a performer, he toured internationally in Jerome Robbins’ WEST SIDE STORY. He also performed in varies productions of CABARET, ANYTHING GOES, and A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Lastly, he assisted Tony Award Winner and dance legend Ann Reinking on her choreographic work for CHICAGO, APPLAUSE, and BYE BYE BIRDIE.
