Myriam Gadri was born in Switzerland and also raised in Togo, Africa, and London. She started dancing when she was 4 years old, starting her professional training in London, continuing in New York and Brazil. Her love of Latin, afro rhythms and dances led her to catch the eye of world-renowned choreographer Maria Torres who became her mentor and trained as her assistant and dancer.

Her work to date includes the UK’s “Move It” Festival 2011, The Magic of Salsa Kingdom (Director/Choreographer Maria Torres), The King and I, “The BRIT Awards” (Tom Jones and Blue) and many corporate events. Since moving to New York, Myriam has performed on the “Today Show Summer Concert Series” with Pitbull, Marc Anthony and Ne-Yo, “Ugly Betty” season launch party, NY Knicks’ Latin halftime show, Marc Jacobs – Decadence fragrance launch, Windows Phone 7.5 launch and “SNL Christmas Special” with Amy Adams. She has also appeared at the APAP City Center and made numerous appearances fusing Latin, Brazilian and Afro diaspora dance styles with several dance companies.

Myriam was also contacted by ROVAN Productions in Belgium, a Latin and Ballroom company to choreograph and be featured in their new brand’s promo video and photoshoot. The resulting video and photographs were subsequently shown widely throughout Belgium and France. She made her U.S musical debut in The Wiz at Arkansas Theatre Rep and performed for Don Omar in the Latin Billboard Awards for two years running. Myriam toured in The Hip Hop Nutcracker where she played the mother adding her Latin flair to the role and worked with Maija Garcia in Hatuey:Memory of Fire. She has worked with Luis Salgado, in two productions of In the Heights where for one she played the first female ‘Graffiti Pete’ in the US Spanish premier. She was assistant choreographer for Telemundo “Upfront” and Aida: The Musical.
