Nigel Jamal Hall

Headshot Nigel Hall

Nigel Jamal Hall is a University of Central Oklahoma BM graduate with an emphasis in dance. Out of college, Nigel sailed with Norwegian Cruise Lines working two of their book shows under Nick Kenkel and Warren Carlyle. Nigel has been seen regionally at Casa Manana, Ogunquit Playhouse, Bucks County, The Maltz Jupiter, The Muny, Music Theatre Wichita, Ivoryton Playhouse as associate choreographer, and The REV. In New York, Nigel has been part of the Moulin Rouge Intensive, The Wonderful World workshop, Dangerous workshop, The Peter Gennaro Project, as well as Upfronts. He’s assisted Charlie Sutton, Lizz Picini, Elon Collier, and many other choreographers across the state. While in Texas, Nigel was on faculty at the Casa Manana Education Department as a dance instructor, and has subbed at Dance Molinari and taught numerous masterclasses across the country.

Nigel’s approach to class is founded upon developing individualistic artistry within any given style. His warm up centers around dynamic movement and strengthening without excessive conditioning. Across the floor focuses on proper alignment and execution of standard jazz terminology found in the industry today. His combos pull inspirations from all his mentors across NYC, while rooting itself in the act of exploration, musicality, and story development. His combos are a PUSH, but rewarding.
