Renaldo Maurice

RENALDO MAURICE (Gary, IN) began his training with Tony Washington and graduated from Talent Unlimited High School. He attended Emerson School for Visual and Performing Arts, studying with Larry Brewer and Michael Davis. Mr. Maurice was a scholarship student at The Ailey School, Ballet Chicago, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, and Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance. He received second place in modern dance from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts and received the Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship. In 2012 he was honored with the key to the city of his hometown. Mr. Maurice has choreographed and performed with 4xGrammy nominated artist Kem. He has also incorporated his passion for the arts with social responsibility as the co-artistic director of the South Shore Dance Alliance in Indiana. He was a member of Ailey II, and joined Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Company in 2011. Icon Father Renaldo Alpha Omega also joined the underground ballroom culture/community. He started walking the category of BQ Vogue Fem. He joined the Iconic House of Blahnik and later joined the Iconic House of Milan where he dominated vogue performance for years. In 2013 the community acknowledged him as legendary for the category. In May 2021 he became one of the Legendary Overall Fathers of the Haus of Alpha Omega. In June 2022 he was honored with the Willie Ninja Supreme Award. In March 2023 he was acknowledged as “Icon” Father Renaldo Alpha Omega.
