Samara Seligsohn
Samara Seligsohn is a tap dancer based in New York City. Samara’s classes take a deep focus on technique and musicality, through all genres of music, giving students a solid foundation of movement and rhythm. Samara has performed work by and studied closely with NYC greats such as Derick Grant and Brenda Bufalino, in addition to touring with Christopher Erk’s “The Tap Factor” as Dance Captain of the company’s original concept shows on board Hapag-Lloyd cruises. She completed 5 seasons as an Artist in Residence at the American Tap Dance Foundation, developing concert dance works and live music collaborations which have been presented at NYC venues such as 54 Below, Symphony Space, The 14th Street Y, and The Duke on 42nd Street. Samara was also a 2020 presenter at Mare Nostrum’s Emerging Choreographers Series. She has taught tap dance at the American Tap Dance Foundation, Joffrey Ballet School, and, of course, Steps on Broadway – her first teaching home – and is excited to be back!
