Shay Bland

Shay Bland (Englewood NJ) Began her Dance training at The Ailey School as a Scholarship Student in the Junior Division. After graduating from the Professional Performing High School she attended Rutgers University where she was awarded the James Dickson Carr Scholarship. She later then returned to the Ailey School as a Scholarship Student in the Professional Division, After which she was invited to Join Ailey II. She then joined Elisa Monte Dance after Which she Joined Nimbus Dance Works.

Shay Currently is a dancer with Metropolitan Opera Ballet where she works as both dancer as well as actor. Shay is Currently on Faculty at the Ailey School Manhattan Youth Ballet and Pace University as a Modern Teacher and Choreographer. Shay will be joining Camille Brown and Alicia Keys as associate choreographer in the upcoming musical Hell’s Kitchen.
