Sydney Alie
Sydney Alie was raised in Denver, Colorado. She put on her first pair of ballet shoes at the age of 3 and began dancing competitively at the age of 5 for MPACT Dance Academy, traveling the country and winning national and regional titles and awards. Sydney is currently enrolled in the Steps on Broadway Professional Conservatory Program, where she trains under notable industry professionals in dance, vocal, and acting. She is a trainee in the inaugural season of the professional contemporary dance company, Zeitgeist Dance Theater, under the instruction of Yusha-Marie Sorzano and Fracisco Gella.
She has spent her summers extending her training in precision dance, at the Radio City Rockette’s Summer Dance Intensive and in concert work and ballet training at the Julliard Summer Dance Intensive and the NYCDA Winter Dance Intensive. Sydney was the proud recipient of the Adele Astaire Scholarship through the Henry Bull Foundation and New York City Dance Alliance. She was also selected by Tony Award-winning Broadway Choreographer, Christopher Gattelli to participate in the National Dance Discovery Showcase Mentorship Program. This mentorship includes a professional experience with her mentor and several training scholarships.
