Class Description: My goal is to prepare students to audition comfortably and to become soloists. All classes are physically and mentally demanding. Students will be exposed to many styles. Some Jazz styles we play with are Charleston, Swing, Latin, Funk, 60’s, Blues, Jack Cole inspired “Straight” Jazz, Western, and sometimes “Propography”. In Tap, sometimes we work “Down” close to the floor, “Up” or as some folks say “Broadway” style, and sometimes even Latin inspired. Students should expect to be challenged and when necessary they’ll even be corrected.
