Headshot Lindsey Jolyn Jackson

Lindsey Jolyn Jackson received extensive dance training from the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Los Angeles, CA. Upon high school graduation, she studied dance for the next three years on the scholarship program at the Ailey school, while simultaneously earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Fordham University. Lindsey has performed nationally and internationally with multiple companies all while earning her Master of Science in Reading, Writing and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania. For the past four years, Lindsey can be found leaping as a gazelle, prowling as a lioness and portraying many other characters eight times a week in the award-winning best musical The Lion King on Broadway.

Lindsey was introduced to Gyrotonic ® while at the Ailey school and was immediately drawn to this specific method of movement. Lindsey teaches Gyrotonic ® and Gyrokinesis ® and is excited to help others strengthen, stretch and heal their bodies. The Gyrokinesis Program at Steps on Broadway is coordinated by Kinespirit Studios, where you can also find Marcela Bragagnolo teaching Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis. Find out more at Kinespirit.com
