Natalia Nieves-Melchor is a NYC-based choreographer, dancer, and educator whose work bridges contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and theater. A proud Puerto Rican artist, she has performed and created with some of the country’s leading theatrical institutions, including the Tony Award–winning Muny (Evita, Assistant Choreographer & Dance Captain), the Old Globe (Cabaret, Associate Choreographer & Dance Captain), and Paper Mill Playhouse (Take The Lead, creative development).

Her performance credits span regional theater, live events, television, and national parades, including appearances in Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Univision’s Casa Cultura, and major productions such as West Side StoryBring It On, and On Your Feet. She has also assisted and collaborated with award-winning directors and choreographers, including Luis Salgado, Josh Rhodes, Lee Wilkins, Jon Rua, Jen Webber and Christopher Gatelli. 

As an educator, Natalia has taught and created work with Ballet Hispánico, Luis Salgado Productions, The Muny, and Revolución Latina. She graduated from Pace University, where she gained the knowledge to teach with an emphasis on versatility, musicality, and storytelling, creating a space where dancers are encouraged to take risks, explore identity, and grow as artists.

Natalia believes deeply in the power of dance to build community and connection. Her classes are high-energy, expressive, and technically rigorous, designed to leave dancers challenged, inspired, and empowered.
