Sergio Trujillo (Director/Choreographer) is an internationally renowned director and choreographer whose work has spanned Broadway, film, television, and international stages. He has choreographed 14 Broadway musicals, including Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations (Tony Award, OCC nomination), Jersey Boys (Olivier nomination, Drama Desk nomination, OCC nomination), Memphis (Olivier Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, NAACP Award), On Your Feet! (Chita Rivera Award, Tony nomination, OOC nomination), The Addams Family, and Next to Normal (2010 Pulitzer Prize). In 2011, four of his productions ran simultaneously on Broadway.

Most recently, he directed the Tony-nominated Broadway production of Real Women Have Curves, as well as Jesus Christ Superstar starring Cynthia Erivo and Adam Pascal at the Hollywood Bowl. Other directing credits include Arrabal at American Repertory Theater (Elliot Norton Award for Best Direction), Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour for Stage Entertainment, and co-direction of The Harder They Come at The Public Theater. He made history as the first Latinx recipient of the Tony Award for Best Choreography for Ain’t Too Proud in 2019. Additional accolades include the 2015 Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreographer (Memphis), two Emmy Award nominations (including Annie Live! for NBC), and three NAACP Awards. Upcoming projects include the film adaptation of Kiss of the Spider Woman, starring Jennifer Lopez.
